1. The author doesn’t specify the setting for Among the Hidden. Where do you think it takes place? When do you think it takes place?
2. Why do you think pets are not allowed anymore?
3. How can you tell Mrs. Garner feels bad about Luke being stuck inside all day?
4. Why did the Garner’s tax bill go up so much?
5. What would you do all day if you had to be the hidden child? Remember you can’t use anything that makes a noise. You can’t be outside or go in front of an uncovered window.

2.Because they can not take care of a pet because it is kinda like a third because you have to feed it,give it attention,and play with it.
